Perhaps there is no other creature in nature that is more delicately beautiful than the butterfly, and this shot perfectly illustrates their fragility and brilliance. It's rare to find a macro that's not only vibrant in color but also well executed in detail. This photo more than has that quality - the orange of the butterfly's wing stands out in the little guy's very green surroundings. It reminds me of being a little girl and looking through the grass to see what kind of creepy crawlies I could find, and to my delight I'd find something pretty.
