Overview: This is one of the really, really good photographs that captures a surreal scene, with beautiful colors, and awing perspective.
The clouds themselves create a sort of Rorschach pattern because of the mirroring, and in all truth it looks a lot like (at the left) two hands reaching 'up' and unleashing some sort of fire or storm. Funnily enough, the angle of the sun is correct and lights the hands accurately. The gradient of the vermilion sunset to the dark blue of night sort of creates and aura surrounding the scene, massively accenting it. The light streaming through the cumulus on the right side gives the picture a linear element, while the clouds counter that with more abstract and round touch. The 'halving of light' also done by the clouds, where the clouds block some of the light but on the left side it streams through more, is quite touching, I know not why, but it is like part of the world is in shadow (and thereby creates symbolism).
What I might have done differently would be to have the mirroring even further away (create more space between the clouds and the reflected image), or contrary to that, to put the mirroring closer together.
All in all this is a very unique and beautiful photomanipulation, the actual original photograph helping a lot, due to its strikingness.
So lovely! For some reason I keep looking at this just expecting like a shark or some deep sea monster to just pop out and *RAWJHRHSJERKJR!!* Lol like a super delayed flash or something~
