A gorgeous scene you've captured here with these two.

I gave 4 stars for vision because you have delivered a solid portrait of these cats; I like that their expressions differ, that we can see their individual characters in the way they've been posed/naturally captured, but that they come across as an item, as a close pair.

4 stars for originality, because so often a photographer will go for an 'artistic' close up of a feline, or be too far away for there to be a connection between subject and audience. To my eye we are close enough to see all that you require us to, but not so close as to detract from the quality of the image and the mood it implies.

4 stars again for technique, because you have captured the subjects with near perfect focus; some of the foreground at the very bottom of the frame is out of focus, which distracted my eye a little. What I do like is the central framing of the two subjects - often I feel like a central subject is too mundane, but here it works very nicely. Cats are posed nicely, in a way that is interesting to the audience. I would perhaps like to have seen the crop go a little higher at the top of the image if possible, it just feels like the frame is encroaching a little onto the top of the cats head.

5 stars for impact, because I thought the way you've brought out the cat's emotions is fantastic. We could be at right in front of them, holding the camera.

A superb photo, one of my favourites that I've seen on DeviantART so far <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
