This is a stunning piece, the softness and delicacy of the butterfly are very evocative of frailty and beauty. The smoothness and sense of frailness and wondrous nature is so well captured in the tiniest details of the butterfly's wings, clear and vivid creamy spots over the darker warm colors of the wings' borders. I love how you can perceive the subtle colors in the wings as well, they are not just dark brown, there is a touch of reddish, a soft spectrum of brown, and the bottom border resembles a dry autumn leaf, which reminds nicely of the title, connecting to it. The only bit I find distracting is the bright touches of color on the blurred background, the softened background is great, but the bright green and the pink flowers tinting it are very distracting from the butterfly and foreground flowers, regardless, the picture is still gorgeous, with its soft detail and pleasant atmosphere.
It's amazing how you've made something so simple so amazingly beautiful! The wings on the butterfly look almost fantasy like. The flowers, the way they blur makes it look like they may go on forver and gives an almost unreal garden effect! The clors are so bright and are really eyecatching, I've added this to my favourites and find it extremely inspiring and effortlessly beautiful! It reminds me, though the name suggests the end of summer, it does remind of those first few days where the skies are endlessly blue and the weather is warm. It's the kind of picture I'd expect to see in the National Georgraphic and i think you should be very proud becuase it's stunning!
